Cameroonian Y's Man Alain Côtel Kouam is officially declared elected as Regional Director-Elect (RDE) for the Africa North West Region (AFNWR) of Y's Men International for the period 2024-2025 and subsequently as Regional Director (RD) for the period July 1, 2025 to June 30, 2027. The announcement was made by RD Tunji Makinde (2023-2025) on January 24, 2025, after a letter of notification was sent to Beswell Mpempulwa, Area President (AP).
Following a call for nominations, two Past District Governors (PDGs) emerged as qualified candidates: Alain Côtel Kouam (Cameroon District) and Joyce Mahama (Ghana District). They were subsequently polled in the RDE election ballot among the Club Presidents (CP) across the entire AFNWR: Ghana, Egypt, Cameroon, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, and Togo. As a result, five districts voted in favor of Kouam and two in favor of Mahama.

Who is Mahama?
Joyce Mahama is a Ghanaian Y's Woman from the Accra Elites Y's Men Club with a strong background in administration and marketing. She is married with several children and belongs to the Methodist Church. She has a great passion for languages and doesn't spare any effort to learn. Eight languages to her credit: English, French, Hausa, Ga, Fanti, Ashanti, Koroboro, Malian language. She has served as DG (2021-2023), RSD (2023-2025), CP (2019-2021), Host Chairperson (Regional Convention Accra 2023).
